Volkan Yalçıntoklu (1961): He studied at Saint-Joseph High School. He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Medical Biology and Genetics Department. He has been a librarian for many years. He translates from French and English. Among the authors whose works he translated include Jules Verne, Helene DeWitt, Alan Snow, Richard Maltby Jr., Lyman Frank Baum, Honore de Balzac, Alexandre Dumas, George Sand, Charles Perrault and Victor Hugo. The Last Day of an Executioner, translated from Hugo, and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame were also published in the Hasan Âli Yücel Classics Series. |
