Les Miserables

Victor Hugo (1802-1885):He is one of the greatest French writers of all time. He is known for his poems, plays and novels. He is the representative of the Romanticism movement in France. Besides his enormous achievements in literature, he also took an active role in political life, so he was sentenced to exile, not returning to France until the Empire fell, although he completed his sentence.

Les Misérables, which was first published in 1862, is the most glorious part of the trilogy of novels in which the author deals with the subjects of “religion” with The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, and “nature” with Sea Workers, dealing with “society”. Based on French society, this epic novel reaches humanity with a cosmological perspective and unique sensitivity. From misery to love of Fantine, Cosette, Marius, the barricades of the Rue de Saint-Denis, Paris, Javert and Jean Valjean.

Description

Fantine’in, Cosette’in, Marius’ün, Saint-Denis Sokağı barikatlarının, Paris’in, Javert’in ve Jean Valjean’ın sefaletten sevgiye, felaketten iyiliğe ve karanlıktan aydınlığa uzanan hikâyeleri Hasan Âli Yücel Klasikler Dizisi’nin 250. kitabında okurlarla buluşuyor.
