Welcome to the Web site for the book, “Fundamentals of Object-Oriented Programming in Java”! Here you will find a detailed table of contents and a description of each chapter of the book. Two sample chapters are also available for download. The Web site has several guides which show you how to set up and use popular integrated development environments (IDEs) for Java such as JCreator Lite, Eclipse, and Netbeans.
The book provides an introduction to object-oriented programming using the Java programming language. The book does not focus on the Java programming language; rather, Java is used as a vehicle to implement the object-oriented concepts presented in the book. Thus, it avoids many features of the Java programming language which can detract from learning object-oriented principles.
